Legal Entity
ScanBalt® fmba is a not-for-profit membership association with a legal entity registered in Denmark CVR/VAT 27823459.
General Assembly (GA)
The GA is composed of the members of ScanBalt meaning Founding, Institutional, Affiliated and Individual Members. The GA decides on change of statutes and the membership fees and advices the Executive Committee on the strategic development of the association. The GA is convened once per year in connection with the annual ScanBalt Forum.

Executive Committee (ExCo)
ExCo is composed of the Founding Members of ScanBalt, up to 6 Institutional Members elected by ExCo and up to 5 Co-opted Members of strategic interest.
Affiliated Members may be invited by ExCo to become Founding Members.
ExCo decides on all matters relevant to ScanBalt except those which explicitly require approval by the GA. The primary task of ExCo is to outline the strategies for the development of ScanBalt BioRegion and ScanBalt.

Chairmanship
The Chairmanship of ScanBalt is responsible for representing the organisation and oversees the management. The Chairmanship is composed of a Chairman elected by ExCo and up to 6 Vice Chairmen proposed by the Chairman and approved by ExCo.

Secretariat
The Secretariat of ScanBalt is located in greater Copenhagen area, Denmark, and is responsible for daily operations in dialogue with ExCo and the Chairmanship.

Liaison Offices
The ScanBalt Liaison Offices are regional offices undertaking specific tasks and responsibilities in dialogue with ExCo, the Chairmanship and the Secretariat.

Strategic Collaborations
ScanBalt has strategic collaborations with relevant organisations in order to promote a coordinated development of the Baltic Sea Region and to strengthen Health and Life Sciences in ScanBalt BioRegion.
ScanBalt Health Region
