Course in Clinical Trials in Medicine for Working Professionals

University of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska academy provides an opportunity for you as an organization or on an individual level to accelerate your future possibilities to take on an active role within the field and industry of Clinical Trials.

The course in Clinical Trials is designed specifically for working professionals in healthcare, pharmaceutical or research organizations. Through an e-learning platform that can be accessed via Internet wherever you are and at any time, allowing increased ability to control and manage your time at a lower cost than comparable solutions. Mentors, with extensive background in clinical trials, will guide trainees through the learning process.

The course will provide you with knowledge and understanding of different phases of a development program for a new drug, overall quality principles (GCP) and regulatory framework for clinical trials. Furthermore, you will be able to have an understanding of the study protocol structure and content, what it takes to plan, conduct and complete a clinical trial, including writing a study synopsis.

All together you will acquire skills and abilities that allow you to critically and systematically analyze, compare and discuss different forms of clinical trials concerning design and statistical models. This also allows you to be aware of and have knowledge of current regulations and guidelines to evaluate the different steps planning, practical execution and completion of a clinical trial.
