New Danish National Biobank opened

The Danish National Biobank Register brings together detailed information on biological samples available in the Danish health system.

Through national collaboration large biobanks, based at hospitals, universities and other research institutions in Denmark, will regularly submit data to the Biobank Register. Data from the biobanks will be linked to disease codes and demographic information from national administrative registries on an individual level.

Anonymous data sets will be made available to researchers around the world through a web-based search system which can be accessed from the biobank’s website.
