ScanBalt partner in a new Project: ONE BSR - Baltic Metropoles Accelerating Branding and Identity Building of the Baltic Sea Region
The ONE BSR Project is an umbrella project, with which various stakeholders can get attached, aiming to produce elements for the BSR image and identity,
ScanBalt will especially focus on talent retention within health and life sciences which is of significant interest throughout ScanBalt BioRegion. The work shall both demonstrate and promote best practice examples and give recommendations to the future collaborative efforts.
ScanBalt has since 2001 worked with the promotion of regional competencies within health and life sciences and a new initiative “Regional Portraits” was initiated in 2012. Regional Portraits intends to strengthen the global marketing, branding and visibility of regional profiles, see first examples at http://www.scanbalt.org/regional+portraits. This is in line with and complements the work of ScanBalt in the ONE BSR project.
The partner cities in One BSR are Helsinki (coordinator), Hamburg, Riga, Stockholm and Warsaw. St. Petersburg participates with its own funding. The networks Baltic Development Forum, ARS BALTICA and ScanBalt BioRegion are among the partners. The Swedish Institute, Business Support and Credit Management Foundation / Creative Cluster, Culminatum Innovation Ltd, Forum Virium Helsinki, Gdansk Investment and Development Agency, the Greater Helsinki Promotion and Praxis are partners from national and regional development companies. Helsinki University, Helsinki Education and Development Area /HERA and Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences represent the universities.
