Partnership composition

The partners represent the expertises needed to implement BSHR HealthPort across borders and sectors:

-Triple helix networks/clusters representing public authorities, health care providers, universities and industries
-Regional authorities/owners of healthcare providers
-Universities
-A meta-regional BSR triple helix network representing public authorities, health care providers, universities and industries
-The EU BSR flagship ScanBalt Health region

All partners have long term experience in developing ScanBalt BioRegion and thus have a well founded communication between them. ScanBalt BioRegion covers:

 -238 hospitals/clinics
- 2543 life science companies mostly SMEs
- 1012 universities/research institutes
- 112 investors.

The composition of the consortium ensures that competencies and decision making capacity is represented within:

1) Public-private and cross-border collaboration in the health care sector
2) The health care system
3) Specific academic competencies
4) SMEs and other industries
5) BSR investment and innovation issues
6) Regional, national, BSR and EU health care/health economy policy issues.

BSHR HealtPort is supported by organisations recognizing that BSR demands, competencies, technologies for better treatment of illnesses are growing and that this together with a demographic shift calls for an innovative BSR healthcare sector.
