SCANBALT COMPETENCEREGION SYMPOSIUM: “TOP OF EUROPE – COMPETENCIES IN LIFE SCIENCES AND BIOTECHNOLOGY IN THE BALTIC SEA REGION”


ScanBalt, the network of networks in Life Sciences and Biotechnology and BioCon Valley are pleased to invite you to the final event of the EU project “ScanBalt CompetenceRegion”

The ScanBalt CompetenceRegion project aimed to create transparency and visibility of resources and competencies in ScanBalt BioRegion. Furthermore, the enhancement of collaboration and development of new bio-clusters in the new EU member states were in focus of this project. Besides the presentation of the project results, the event will sharpen the dialogue between the single actors and projects in the field of transnational collaboration.

• Dr. Wolfgang Blank, Managing Director BioCon Valley, Vice Chairman ScanBalt: „ScanBalt CompetenceRegion – Creating Transparency and Visibility in ScanBalt BioRegion“
• Prof. Bo Samuelsson, University of Göteborg, Chairman of ScanBalt: “ScanBalt Campus – Creating Critical Mass and Mobility in Education and Research”
• Prof. Martin Rosenfeld, Halle Institute for Economic Research: “Knowledge Transfer between universities and SMEs – Experiences from East Germany”

Furthermore we would like to emphasize a panel discussion with experts from industry and academia:
“Think Global – Act Local: Cooperation of Biotech Clusters in Northern Europe”

Subsequently to the symposium, we would like to invite you to the reception which will take place at Biomedizinisches Forschungszentrum. The reception will give you the opportunity to exchange ideas with actors from other bioregions and to intensify existing business collaborations.
