The workshop is targeted at PhD-students, postdocs, junior group leaders and other scientists in the life science sector who to date have little or no experience with EU research funding. It will provide insights into all aspects important for the optimal use of the funding opportunities provided by the 7th Framework Programme, starting with the identification of suitable calls and programmes, the search for project partners and the building of research consortia and is finally going into details of the proposal and evaluation procedure.
The workshop includes extensive hands-on-exercises, thus giving the participants the opportunity to directly apply and deepen the knowledge gained. After finishing the workshop, participants will be able to navigate the “jungle” of EU research funding and to prepare grant applications within FP7 more effectively and successfully.

The number of participants is limited to 20. In case of over-booking, the organizers will select the participants under the aspect of a regional and thematic balance.
