NEW SCANBALT MEMBER: THE GROUP FOR BIOETHICS IN LIFE SCIENCE OF THE JAGIELLONIAN UNIVERSITY

The group for bioethics in life sciences – gbls- is a regular academic unit at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland.

gbls cooperates with faculties and units in Life Sciences and Law at the Jagiellonian University on the basis of shared interests in ethical and legal issues.
Based on its interdisciplinary character, gbls is becoming a unique European unit and a Central academic entity in Poland.
gbls also cooperates with different units in the field of Life Sciences and Law in Poland and in Europe.
The network we seek to establish will be invaluable for our endeavour to gain synergetic effects of the highest level. We expect most positive achievements in ethics and law in Life Sciences, based on the simple idea of exchanging ideas in the frame of shared project work.
Participating actively in ScanBalt is an outstanding possibility for gbls to get in touch with the excellent competences in Life Sciences represented by all members of ScanBalt.
