The Estonian Biotechnology Association was established in March 2003 to bring together different biotechnology companies as well as biotechnology focused university research in both Tallinn and Tartu regions. Despite the fact that our companies have strong ties to local biocentres, universities and technology centres there are still possibilities for improvement. The creative and supportive atmosphere of biocentres offers a real benefit for emerging biotechnology companies. The primary centres are located in Tartu and the capital Tallinn, both of which include support services for start-up companies. The goals of our association are to help our members in finding better opportunities inside and outside the country through networking and partnering events and to create better opportunities for developing the biotechnology sector in Estonia.
