2 National Working Groups
So far 6 national working groups are being established during project period I. The remaining ScanBalt countries will be represented during Period II. Each working group will, at the national level, discuss the measures necessary for strengthening mobility in the fields of biotechnology and initiate a horizontal networks within the ScanBalt BioRegion. The national working groups and the project committee will be the central motive power of the project.

3 ScanBalt Brain Collection
The project committee members and the working groups will identify the first list of lecturers by 1 June 2003.

4 Intensive courses and research training
The horizontal networks between the national working groups will gradually establish networks of more specific biotech-related fields focusing on the organization of intensive courses and research training in order to increase the level of excellence and mobility status. The first initiatives on stem cell research and agro-biotech are to be formed by 1 June 2003.
