PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The ScanBalt Communication project will address external and internal communication issues:

Externally the project will focus on strengthening ScanBalt as a one-stop-entry to ScanBalt BioRegion.

ScanBalt Communication Centre will publish and promote knowledge on regional competencies and capacities in an easy-to-access format in order to attract foreign investors and with human- and industrial resources.

Results from running ScanBalt projects will be highlighted continuously.

Internally the ScanBalt communication project will systematically organise and coordinate information flows. This will support and optimise coordination among the ScanBalt BioRegion actors.

The project aims exploit synergies to the maximum of benefits for the ScanBalt BioRegion actors and will uncover new ideas in the process. ScanBalt Communication project will continue the development of ScanBalt as a successful highly decentralized and bottom up member based association.

Improved internal and external communication is crucial to create critical mass and identify spearhead competencies. Improved communication will increase  the mobility of existing human, financial and industrial resources within ScanBalt BioRegion and attract new human, financial and industrial resources from outside ScanBalt BioRegion - for example highly educated ex-patriates in the US, venture finance and companies.

The project thereby facilitates regional clusters to be more competitive with the strongest global clusters and bioregions like Boston, London-Cambridge and new emerging centres, such as those located in Shanghai and Singapore.
