Aim of the Baltic Entrepreneurship Training Network

The BEPART project objective was defined as follows: 'Increased efficiency and impact of entrepreneurship promotion at universities and within local/regional networks'. The network therefore, intends to contribute to the overall objective: 'Development of a creative and responsible Entrepreneurship Culture in the Baltic Sea Region and Europe at large that can be expected to contribute to a more productive utilisation of scarce human (talents, knowledge) and natural ressources, thereby fostering innovation as well as sustainable socio-economic development.'

This general orientation will probably stay in the forefront in the future as well: the larger part of the network of partners have been cooperating before and intend to cooperate also after the official termination of the INTERREG IIIC project.

Relevant in the ScanBalt context are especially those activities, that are already planned in order to increase the number and the qualification of university staff involved in entrepreneurship education (trining-of-trainers up to a European MA in Entrepreneurship Education) on the one hand and research projects on the other hand. The later should increase the body of available knowledge on success factures and reasons for failure with regard to the life science business in Europe.
